Sending this form is an application for a place in the 2027 edition of the ECP-Arts programme. It is not a booking and not a contract. A place exists only once we have offered it to you in writing and you have accepted it in writing.
The programme is intended for singers who have completed, or are about to complete, their formal training. Applicants must be of full legal age. A small number of places is open to répétiteurs and to emerging opera managers on separate terms; please write to us before applying.
Up to four recordings (MP4, MOV, M4V or WEBM, each no larger than 400 MB) and up to five documents as PDF (each no larger than 25 MB). Recordings should be unedited and taken from the front, so that we hear the voice and not the room. If a file is too large, send a link instead.
Every application is heard and read by us personally. We assess the recordings, the curriculum vitae and the repertoire, and we invite a shortlist to an interview. There are ten places per edition, and we would rather leave a place empty than fill it. There is no legal claim to a place, and we are not obliged to give reasons for a decision. We answer every applicant.
Applying is free of charge. Costs of producing recordings, travel to an interview, and any visa are borne by the applicant. The programme fee, the payment terms and everything else are set out in the participation contract, which is issued only after a place has been offered and accepted.
You keep every right in the material you send. We use it for one purpose only: to assess your application. We do not publish it, we do not pass it to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising. How long we keep it is described in the privacy notice.
Your statements must be accurate. If material facts turn out to be untrue, we may withdraw an offer of a place.
Participants from outside the Schengen area are responsible for their own entry requirements. We support the process with an invitation letter and confirmations, but we cannot obtain a visa on anyone's behalf. Health insurance is compulsory for the whole of the programme and is arranged and paid for by the participant; we can put you in touch with partners. A Schengen visa will not be issued without it.
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you are resident remain unaffected.
Draft. These conditions are being reviewed by a lawyer and will be final before applications open.
